Whether I print or paint in black and white or color, I want to present what at first seems like straightforward images, but if you look closer you’ll find lines and layers, shapes and shades, all design within design. -ANGELA GAFFNEY-SMITH Angela Gaffney-Smith holds a BA degree in Art History/Visual Arts from the State University at New Paltz, NY. She studied printmaking at SUNY New Paltz as well as the Woodstock School of Art. Gaffney-Smith is a co-founder of the artist collective at the Half Moon Studio Gallery in Saugerties, NY. Ms. Smith is a member of the Woodstock Artist Association and the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network. Angela resides in the foothills of the Catskills in Saugerties, which offer a deep well of artistic inspiration.
